I'm definitely hopeful about the retro web / handwritten html stuff taking on a broader charm as more people get disgusted with LLM-voice on the web (which is of course was just an acceleration of the already dominant SEO-voice)

I rank I-55 through Illinois as worse than Western KS, but I've done the former more often. Hays, KS has a nice main drag with good brewpub.

came away from this semester more or less agreeing with the "paper assignments no longer work as a measure of thought" line, but also really not sure where the thought is now supposed to happen that used to happen in the course of composing/revising the paper

hardly hating, but fascinated to know how this happens to someone in 2k25
