Try beets, barley, some allspice and mix in goat cheese after everything is cooked. I toss the 1/2 in cubed raw beet in when the barley is half cooked and it all comes out nicely. Crazy pink purple color. Learned from Ukrainians. I was told they put this in pieroshkis/pirogi.

I disconnected too, but it took me until I was in my late 30s to understand it was the only rational step. And I can’t say I don’t still deal with some grief. But my life is SO much better. And my table is always full of the ones who are building a healthy family together, 🩸 or no 🩸 relationship.

I can tell you from 30 years of taking care of young people who are not my kids, they often need us most when they get older and see how dysfunctional their parents are. its important for their healing to show what healthy boundaries looks like. Be their safety net if you can.

They have to be missing really big threats to our safety, spending all this people time on bullshit like this.

My cousin lets me log in to one of their trail cameras in the woods, ‘cuz I get homesick. There’s an opossum who waddles through on a set schedule—within 30 minutes of the same time each night, except in really crappy weather. Fuzzy dude is more reliable than my apartment complex security guards.

It’s also a lack of faith, plus showing cowardice and laziness, to just vote the way your church tells you to vote. If you do that, you have no real understanding of core Jesus-flipping-tables-in-the-temple biblical lessons. Humans are fallible. Question everything, & figure out who benefits.

This just looks like expensive political masturbation to me. A gathering of the rich/powerful and want-to-be-rich/powerful to demonstrate how nice it is to be among the rich/powerful. 🤮

Anyone would…after I borrow some time on my cousin‘s pottery kiln. Would barely heat that thing up to transform nuggets to rough bars.

We have a very extensive public transit system. Which I use because you are not wrong. Nobody knows how to properly merge. Or handle a roundabout. They go slow in the rain and too fast on ice and snow.

Nope. Wrong tack. Call for mandatory licensing (with required training), registration and insurance for all guns EXCEPT single-action (no magazine) hunting rifles and double-barrel shotguns. Let hunters have their tools and regulate the rest like we do vehicles.

For decades right-wing media had a lock on radio stations and local news in rural markets. Wouldn’t it be worthwhile to flip the script? It doesn’t even have to be MSNBC style. Just straight facts from an independent source can counter extremism, as long as the listeners have trust in the source.
