Ja, sicher, Speicher sind essentiell. Theoretisch könnten sie wahrscheinlich verlustfrei sein, sog. isentropische Speicher. Praktisch… na ja, Pumpspeicherwerke haben zwar keine hohe Energiedichte, aber soweit ich weiss eine Effizienz über 90%.

Indeed, not so mysterious. Wind turbines remove kinetic energy from the flow, that‘s what they are meant to do. Less kinetic energy = lower wind speeds. See eg also here esd.copernicus.org/articles/2/1... and here earthsystem.org/2021/03/22/w.... May be more mysterious why it should not be the case?
