I don't have a Mech I'd call my favorite Mech, but if if I want a cheep Mech that I can find damn near anywhere in an early Mechwarrior 5 run, I'm seeking out a blackjack. There a pretty versatile platform that you can tweak the hell out of into a role you want, you won't feel bad for losing it.
