This is Freya Monkeymittens. She's seven years old and has a little 2-inch tail we refer to as her nub-nub.

Roti canai, my preference is with a chicken curry. The best breakfast.

Hainanese chicken rice. Fragrant, filling, so very soft and comforting.

Char kway teow. Secret of many Cantonese aunties. The flame makes the flavour. My test dish for any new restaurant.

A plate of roti canai - a fluffier pratha - and a small bowl of curry next to it. An arrangement on hainanese chicken rice, with braised chicken breast covered in a soy-based sauce, a mound of rice cooked in chicken stock, with three sauces on the side - chilli garlic, garlic ginger, and dark soy - dressed with coriander and cucumber slices. A plate of char kway teow on a banana leaf: flat egg noodles stir fried with beansprouts, egg, prawns, Chinese sausage, and Chinese chives, in a soy-based sauce.

She's Singaporean, and she can know anything for exactly one minute. Like, she just says, "parkour" and she will know how do that at insane levels for one minute.

As a Malaysian these two panels made me so very happy. It was so wonderful to see Malaysian/Singaporean Malay in an X-Men comic.

I pulled or inflamed a muscle around my ribcage so I've spent the evening in vicious pain holding a hot water bottle to my side after downing painkillers.

What helped most was watching this:

My wife found me this t-shirt not long after I came out as non-binary. Thought it would amuse you.

On solo Friday nights we secure arrow tips with very specific glue while nerding out on @dropout.tv

Spent a good chunk of yesterday sorting my @storyenginedeck.bsky.social cards into their new Leviathan boxes.

It was very pleasing.
