That post is literally everything wrong with the US. We value military might over health, happiness, education, etc..

People complain about government inefficiency and incompetence yet admit we have the "strongest" military on the planet. What would our social programs look like if we invested the same and took the same pride in their excellence?

And.. privatization is an exchange for political power.
