I think that's because rival fans just read the headlines.

Even tonight, Sky are analysing his interview as if he were listing excuses, when he did the precise opposite.

Far from a classic, and there's more in-depth analysis to come on the blog and the pod, but for now it's just good win against a team and club as thoroughly unpleasant as Chelsea.

A bigger bunch of whining, moaning, snide babies you'll never meet. A collection of weeping pricks. Well done Arsenal.

Jean-Philippe Mateta was discharged from St George’s Hospital last night where he had 25 stitches to a severe laceration to his left ear. 25 stitches.

Michael Oliver needed VAR to think it was a red card.

He has to be demoted. The media driven praise of him has to stop. He’s beyond incompetent.

Really looking forward to tonight. A big benefit of spending less time on Twitter the last few months is just enjoying football more and not spiralling / getting constantly annoyed about the nonsense spoken by certain pundits.

So many things that have been introduced to football of late have made it less fun. The Lewis-Skelly/getting huffy over celebrations thing being the latest.

It’s supposed to be fun. Stop making football less fun.

Stop making football less fun. Please
Football is meant to be fun. As minor as it seems, solemnly tutting at or punishing a player for mocking in celebrations, chips away at that

This is a very serious situation. We must stamp out the scourge of players flapping their arms like seagulls or sitting peacefully on the ground after scoring a goal.

Didn't really celebrate Arsenal's first goal on Saturday and was staring around at everyone celebrating the disallowed late 'winner' thinking I wouldn't let myself get swept up in it until the game kicked off again. It's infinitely better to feel your feelings immediately. Bin VAR everywhere. Now.
Significant moment in Norway, where clubs from the top two divisions have voted to abolish VAR. Will be their formal recommendation to Norwegian FA ahead of decision in March.

Mad game. Maybe it makes yesterday more frustrating, maybe a bit of a let off.

Still, fun to see Michael Oliver not care about Rasmus Hojlund kicking the ball away when he couldn't wait to give Trossard a second yellow when we played Man City.

The decision (and it is a clear and conscious policy) of Howard Webb to totally disregard violent conduct and player safety and to fuss endlessly about shit that nobody cares about continues to irritate me profoundly.
