Went to a wedding at the SF Presidio yesterday and as the evening came to a close, took this eerie pic of the cemetery.

There’s no way to convey the splendor of London in a few words or images. I’m still reeling from the pure visual excitement and energy. And I kept getting deja vu the whole week.
Three things that made me immediately love this city: beautiful architecture, mastery of lighting, multicultural feast.

I think year of the snake is meant for year of sanshin, which traditionally were made with snake skin (not as much anymore).
Sanshin my mom received from her brother, which she passed on to me. The front now has fake snake skin but the back is still covered by real skin.

On walks I often snap pics of flowers to sketch later. Yesterday I chose camellias, they’re everywhere in Oakland. Elegant old shrubs, some with towering branches, that were probably planted in the 30s and 40s when our ranch, bungalow and craftsman homes were built. They’re so beautifully art deco.
