I found an old 7up bottle (green).
No paper label, everything in imprinted in the glass.

Proudly imprinted upon it was “No deposit” and “No return”.

On the bottom was printed “Not to be refilled”.

It happened again. We were taking stuff to the shelter to donate, and the people outside waiting for a meal came up to the car wanting to help us carry it in.
It’s very humbling.

Once again, we took bags and boxes of donations to the shelter. Once again, those outside waiting for food and beds offered to help carry those bags and boxes.

Y’know, something that I will never be able to take as granted - running, potable water inside the house. Often, when just running water for tea, I am reminded that I didn’t have to walk miles to get it and carry it back.
