I started my first novel in 2022. I restarted it in 2023. In 2024, I scrapped it to devote a full year to learning the essentials of good writing. In addition, I learned to honor my history (no matter who may/may not care). Now (in 2025), I'm rolling along! Keep writing, y'all!! We'll get there!!

Exciting news! I wrote a book review for Deborah L. King's book "Mary Not Broken" on the Reedsy Discovery website. The review was selected as a "featured review" (i.e., placed on their homepage). I'm so happy for Deborah! If you like historical fiction, this is a great one to read! Enjoy!

Time to pretend I'm awake, drink red tea, finish reading "How the Word Is Passed" (by Clint Smith), and explore Virginia. #amycollins
