Unfortunately, I’m guessing this trend will only get worse, at least in the short term. I guess everything long term is 🤷🏽 these days. Explains a lot of the politics though.

It’s important for some to misrepresent #degrowth scholars and confuse #degrowth literature bcuz otherwise it becomes obvious they understand the problem very well, it’s not a matter of physics, and there are solutions.

I didn’t leave Ontario exactly because of DoFo. But I’m not moving back anytime soon thanks to him.

Interesting report relevant to US #semiconductor on-shoring. This figure surprised me:

12/ 📊 A strong correlation exists between total rare earth oxide content and potential revenue, providing a simplified forecasting method for assessing new deposits. 🧮 #DataScience

10/ 📉 In Monte Carlo simulations, industrial wastes generated the least revenue per tonne, while electronic wastes topped the chart. Among industrial wastes, coal ash had the lowest revenue, followed by red mud and phosphogypsum. 🏭 #wastemanagement

8/ 🌏 Regional differences impact revenue, particularly in primary and industrial waste ore grades. For instance, Australian #monazite from Mount Weld shows higher potential revenue than other regions. 🇦🇺 #MiningSeason

7/ 📈 Electronic waste revenue is driven by #neodymium oxide, essential for permanent magnets in electronics and EVs. Industrial waste revenue, on the other hand, is driven by #scandium oxide. 🌍 #RenewableEnergy

6/ 💡 Key Findings: REEs, mainly in the form of rare earth oxides (#REOs), are the most valuable product except in NiMH #batteries and #seanodules. Electronic waste has the highest revenue potential, while industrial waste has the lowest. 📈 #Ewaste

5/ We solved for this problem using robust ore grade data and REE price forecasting methods explained here: sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

The results are quite exciting...
