Donald Trump said U.S. cattle ranchers “have to get their prices down” while taking credit for tariffs that helped them “do so well”. He forgets it was the Biden admin that busted the meat-packer price fixing cartel that had cattle prices in a chokehold. It’s not the ranchers. It’s the meat cartel.

I wrote a book. When order stops serving the people, it becomes something else. It becomes control. It becomes fear. It becomes violence.

A lot energy about burning flags coming from the cross burning crowd.

Trump is criticizing museums for the way they discuss… checking my notes here … how bad slavery was. How bad slavery was. Was it good DJT? Slaves got free home/food/water? People barely afford home/food/water on corporate wages. So the museum needs to update its slavery exhibits?

What we are seeing is a real-world authoritarian system actively being inflicted on a democratic system willingly and complicity, fully self-justified, with ceremony, scripted participation, and barely restrained anxiety

Good work DC Bar, sensible outcome given the stakes.

Law schools must vet JD candidates for commitment to American democratic values. Require background checks, restrict foreign candidates who would impress foreign values, and mandate anti-bribery compliance training. Lawyers guard the republic—let’s train them like it.

Truth is relative, striving to be superlative. Everything is true and nothing is true, is the most true statement.

Crazy how this administration bashes Zelensky but at the same time gobbles up all their war data to inform future investments in military equipment. Ungrateful.

This is Marco Rubio explaining how the USA promised to defend Ukraine forever if they got rid of their nuclear arsenal left after the Soviet Union fell.

This is why lil marco was sinking into the couch. He was hoping we wouldn’t find it…so don’t RT right now this very second.

Finally, this failure reinforces the observation US leadership is bound to the immediate gratification of their political bases rather than the broader imperatives of planetary security. Trump is prone to sacrificing stability for brief displays of strength, a pattern observed throughout history.

Friday’s negotiations demonstrated that this Administration struggles with restraint when engaging in zero-sum conflict. Trump often has equated negotiation with victory rather than mutual benefit, which impairs his ability to form enduring cooperative systems. Also explains his Russian disposition

The approach merely satisfies internal political factions, ultimately weakening global strategic influence. The dismissal of Zelenskyy demonstrates that the US will, at times, forgo stability to assert hierarchical dominance. Such public humiliation was counterproductive, if a deal was on the table.

The narrative of rational self-interest, i.e. “World Peace”, falls in on itself in an episode that only suggests emotions, rather than allowing others to naturally feel them. Rather than securing policy objectives through measured discourse, Trump and Vance engaged in combative engagement.

Trump and Vance, in ejecting Zelenskyy from the White House, demonstrated a hubristic tendency to prioritize immediate narrative control over long-term strategic stability. This behavior mirrors historical trends in Trump’s governance style often conflating negotiation with performance. TV Habits.

The behavior of governing institutions, particularly their methods of conflict resolution and alliance management, warrants utmost caution. The recent diplomatic encounter between Trump, Vance, and Zelenskyy was a misalignment of priorities, more a display of dominance over substantive negotiation.

@aoc.bsky.social I’m not sure if it’s been suggested, but a law that prohibits presidential candidates and known big money donors from operating social media companies makes a lot of sense. Also what about enforcing first amendment against online bots? AI does not enjoy free speech
