tailor said we sunk a bunch of money into the wrong fabric and the satin version wouldn't drape right. ran all the away across town to The Good Fabric Store before it closed. this HAS to be thick enough

not kitsch in the traditional sense, but i collected a particular brand of korean fashion doll in high school. i still have them! i've even done some repairs on them since then. this lil guy was the first one i found on my phone

i saved the best for last: after an afternoon in akihabara, i made my way to kanda myojin because i'd heard it was pretty at night. it was late and raining, so i found myself completely alone to take it all in. what a shot. what a place! i already wish i could go back.

there were so many smaller, but no less stunning sights i couldn't photograph, like the inside of nijo castle and a geiko performance at a museum. you'll just have to trust me that they're worth seeing for yourself
