The death of local news outlets combined with 24 hour entertainment shows disguised as news has been so bad for Americans

"Biden was old but governed normally. Trump governs erratically *because* he’s unglued. That’s the true cover-up, one the media is enabling when they seem more concerned with the mental condition of a former president than the escalating madness of the current one."
The real cover-up is of Trump's disordered mental state

We’ve got to chill out with all the end of year tests in k-12. No one needs this much data.

They are arresting people on the streets, terminating their visas, and disappearing them for writing things they disagree with. This is where we are. Two months in. Right now. If you think they won’t begin coming after citizens soon, you are mistaken.

Anyone who works with actual kids knows that’s unrealistic. I’m forced to use an AI reading intervention program and our kids across the district literally hate it. They get frustrated easily, and some kids cry because they don’t want to be on it.

This is not about a “group chat”. Why are they using a nonsecure app to discuss classified information?

I really wish news organizations would stop focusing on polls so much.

New York City educators are embracing rather than restricting the discussions of race with a new K-12 curriculum, “Black Studies as the Study of the World.” This comes as the Trump administration moves to ban programs related to diversity and equity across the government and schools.

They call public schools “government schools” so you won’t trust them.

They call it “school choice” to make it sound like you have one.

They whine about “parental rights” when they’re rights you already have.

They call them school vouchers instead of what they are- discounts for the wealthy.

Exactly! This is what I don’t understand. They have no obligation to go along with this.
DOGE isn't even a real department or organization.

Just made up. I don't understand why elected officials aren't actually stopping and arresting all of these people.

We don’t want you to find common ground. We want you to fight back.
"It is very clear that, if there is a middle of all of this hot mess of division, Americans want us to work together when we can and find common ground," Sen. Amy Klobuchar tells the Opinion writer Michelle Cottle.

Every time I read the local news and see a teacher who was awarded a $250 grant for her classroom, I understand that she spent hours of her own time applying for it. Writing it. Going through a submission process.

For $250. For her classroom…

Unfortunately, Texas. I don’t like Texas, but geographically it makes sense. I would say Chicago, but it’s too cold there to be used year round. Some place like Austin or Dallas would work well.
