We have "Elevenses" here in UK, an old fashioned Brunch i suppose. By my clock, I have two Elevenses, that later one is my last meal of the day.

The bacon fat was good for butter/marge free times, freshened up slightly stale bread too, just clean the frying pan with the bread.

Nice. Yeah, 7800 games are rare, Atari didn't make many of them, keep an eye out on eBay, you'll see them now & again at ok prices. Some 7800 games aren't much better than the 2600 versions so dont bother.

It's not that dissimilar here. Sorry, you sound angry. It's capitalism & consumerism at It's worst unfortunately. The companies make recird profits, governments (especially US atm) get away with what they want.

And I agree with you wholeheartedly. We have very few "treats" these days, cos the quality & size goes down whilst the price & packaging goes up.

I heard you dont have "fruit squash" in US, aka "Cordial" i think. Look it up, UK version. We add a dash to water and it has no added sugar, just real fruit concentrate type stuff and cheap! You would love it. UK favourite brand is Ribena!

I dont mean that aggressively at all, I agree. It's forced me to make more of my own stuff, buy less but better ingredients, freeze more leftovers, bulk buy, etc.
Yeah I miss some stuff. Like we have a choccy bar called "Boost" that is so small, its only a "Nudge" now 😉

I spent a lot of my early childhood looking after every caterpillar i found. The glee felt when the butterfly or mother emerged and I let it free (close to where I found it). Such good memories from nearly 50 years ago.
