I don't see mate, but 1.Rc8+ Qxc8 2. Qxc8 Kxa7 gives you Q v R+2 pawns which seems like it would be winning

This was a hard one!!

1..Qe1 2.Rxe1 3Nf2+ 3. Kg1 Nxh2+ 4.gxh2 hxg6

And at the end blacks up and exchange. Did I miss something stronger? Seems like all other lines lead to mate on either h7 or g7

Qa4+ wins either the bishop or the knight depending how black defends

Oh Rxg6 2.hxg6 Qh8#

fxg6 Ne7#

That's much cleaner than my first version!

I guess another defense could be Ne7, but after 2.Nxe7+ Qxe7 3.Bxe7 they're down a queen, but prevent mate after f7
September 21, 2025 at 2:35 PM
1. e5

If ...dxe5 2.Qh6 and cant stop mate

If ...Bxe5 2. Qh6 Bxf6 3. Bxf6+ Kh8 4. Qh7#

...Qxe5 3. fxe5 and you're up a queen plus they can't stop the mates from about

Nxe2 seems to win the queen
September 2, 2025 at 1:08 PM
Oh is it make a bishop then king a8 h8=Q Ka7 Bb6#

I was too quick to just see Queen and Rook make stalemate and assume everything after was winning to spot the fastest mate

Could have been misclick but the immediate c5 with 1second of thought from them made me think I was walking into something dangerous at first.
