And if the seller is relying on the solar panels to add value (increase their price), you need to verify that everything they say is accurate from the size of the system, to the age, to the warranty, to transferring it into your name with the solar and power companies.

You also need to make sure that your lender and insurance companies are both aware and okay with it and that it won't add any extra issues.

The main thing is that the solar panels need to be owned outright/paid off in full, i.e., not on a lease, loan, or a power purchase agreement. You also need to get the roof and entire PV system inspected to make sure that there's no roof damage or leaks, or electrical issues.

I actually have some experience with this, at least in the US and I'm a big proponent of solar panels, but there are a few major considerations.

It's the only practical way to get instant updates from certain US government entities (e.g., NWS and NPS). They can't just move to bsky because there's some regulatory approval process they have to go through first. With Elmo with his head up Cheeto's ass it seems unlikely to happen anytime soon

I can't tell if these people erroneously think they're funny, if they're mocking because they don't have enough friends to understand the point of asking for shared experiences/knowledge, or if they're just so narcissistic that they feel they have to add something even though it provides no value
