Either my videos are just no good, or I'm not favored by the algorithm (worse it's both). Whatever the case, I'm just gonna share in all the platforms I'm in. I usually keep it youtube-only for a week but the lack of interaction seriously gets me down.

I am, once again, in that final stretch of a project thinking I'm 90% done but that last 10% weighs like another 90%.
=w= I actually thought I'd finish the current animation early because I didn't have to build a scene from scratch.

I'm almost done with (a preview) of the next video. Current problem is deciding whether I should expand the current objects on the scene to fit camera adjustments (looks much better) or just move around the existing objects and cheat the perspective (more practical) =w=

More than a year in blender, I just found out about appending! No need to keep importing objects and setting them up again and again per project. I can just import them from a boilerplate file with their rig and materials ready to go. TwT

I need more ways to cover my horizon. Aside from mountains, bumpy roads, and hills, what are other good ways to not make the horizon look like a straight line while still keeping the scene clean and simple?

A new thing I struggle with in animation is portraying distance and scale. I cheat with the perspective in my previous videos since the camera is static, but in more complex scenes my scene breaks down. Had to redo the WIP I posted yesterday after taking a second long look at it. Needs more depth.

Changed my video export settings trying to figure out how to get a much higher quality video than what the preset gives
video went from 160 MB to 13 GB sheeesh
the changes are quite significant though! Image quality is better, and the colors pop out more

The short Gura dance animation I'm working on is almost done.
Just cloth and hair animation left.
Since it's an MMD model, I had to tweak my process a bit. I'm more used to working with VRMs. Thank goodness I have a reference for the dance. It's at least much easier than what I usually animate.

Winding down on Holy Week activities. I'm now working on the ending screen animation. It's just Aka trying to do something. Somehow, it just made sense to add a lil' butt wiggle. 🙏

I had to split rendering into two sessions and still had to re-render some frames after seeing some hitches.
So, technically the raw animation is done. I can't believe I finally finished it 🥲
I just have to animate an epilogue then add sfx
and i'm done!! ٩(× ×)۶

I'm pretty much done with the main animation. All I have left to do is animate the hair and expressions and move some objects around to change the scene background. Also want to an end scene with a looping animation.
Length so far is 1:13.
