I saw a doctor bird up close once, at my FIL’s cousin house in Newcastle. I know it sounds like white lady main character syndrome, but when it sat with me, I felt honored. I felt welcome. My husband, his family, and every J’can I’ve met over 20 years have made me feel that way.
