To put on the largest Thanksgiving meal distribution in the state, local labor unions have donated $25,000 to the Regional Food Bank. Their union members have also been asked to lend a hand to make it all happen later this month.

Customers at The Works Cafe's newest location in Guilderland donated $2,500 to Capital Roots in exchange for free breakfast and lunch. I interviewed the founder who matched everyone's contributions, totaling $5,000 for the nonprofit.

More than 10,000 flags were placed in front of Fort William Henry, each one representing a veteran nominated by the community. Every Veterans Day, families come to view the flags and read from the lists of names at the Field of Flags.
