Currently reading Plague House from @michaelwconrad.bsky.social and @davechisholmcomics.com, and I love how Dave handled this sequence. It's like reverse word balloons. I've never seen a comic do this before

Second stop was Rogue Robot Games & Comics in Duluth, MN. Filled in some gaps in my Rachel Pollack Doom Patrol and Morrison New X-Men collections. Also snagged a bunch of Enrique Breccia Swamp Thing issues

First stop was Clairemont Comics and Games in Eau Claire, WI. They also had a bunch of the Kyle Baker Shadow issues as well, but I held off

Peter Milligan and Mike Allred's X-Force/X-Statix is pretty celebrated these days, but the first Darwyn Cooke fill-in issue is fantastic. Not only does Darwyn draw the hell out of this, but it also injects a lot of humanity into a character who was largely seen as an asshole up until that point.

Last read of 2024 - Loving, Ohio from @matthewerman.bsky.social and @sambeckdraws.bsky.social. This was a fantastic read that I ended up connecting with a lot more than I expected to

Had a good bookstore haul today

Just finished Arca. A phenomenal work from @vanjensen.bsky.social, @jesselonergan.bsky.social, Patricio Depeche, and Nathan Widick. Easily the best sci-fi book that I've read in quite some time
