If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it.
Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice.
But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word.

As a burned out, overweight, borderline alcoholic social worker, I have been watching in horror as the US continues to tailspin. So I started working out again. Saw my doc. Got on ADHD meds. Started checking the serviceability of some of my old gear.
We have to shake off the horror and focus.

Am participating in the Meta blackout, and a couple days in I've noticed two things:
1. I reach for my phone to check Meta apps *a lot*
2. I am getting quite a few push notifications from those apps trying to entice me back. Like... so many.
(I have these apps in a folder labeled blackout to help)

Next time you get a transphobe or other bigot in your comments spewing hate, just take their own sentence and replace the subject with "conservative" "christian" "white" "man" or any combination of the above and see how fast it turns in to personal threats and/or censorship from the platform.
