I remember when the Iron Fist show came out and wanting to make a similar argument: that making Iron Fist Asian wouldn't have fixed the story, it would have, at best, been telling a different story. But then that show was so much nothing that it wasn't worth the heat lol

I think the thing I love most about Strange New Worlds is that it gets back into contained stories in the way the other new Treks don't. So even if it lands on something awful like the musical episode, you're not stuck with another dumb superweapon plot for 9 hours

The worst thing the Boba Fett show did was remove the one thing that gave him character in the original series: he seems like kind of a hothead that acts on impulse. He shouldn't be some zen badass, he should be getting yelled at by his ex wife for giving their daughter an interrogation droid

The Boba Fett show would've been so much cooler if it was actually about Fett fighting crimelords in Tattooine, not as some bland warrior king but as a slick but overconfident space cop that had to actually ingratiate himself to the locals to save the most vulnerable. Also Walton Goggins is there

this is literally the only way we got rid of smoking indoors and if people want to match that energy for any other public health battle, they're just going to have to invent new ways for people to smell bad
