A lot of the S. cainii records from outside of the Great Lakes are just awnless forms of S. norvegica. Did you end up collecting a specimen, Brad?

It is an incredible place! I have been a couple times now and I always come back with an abundance of paper bags filled with mosses and liverworts. Let me know if you plan on visiting and I can give some recommendations for places to visit.
