Summary so far... The Snouty light-sheet (previous posts) is currently the fastest, gentlest and highest resolution 3D fluorescence microscope for many applications, especially dynamic imaging of living things.

In 2019 I co-invented a new class of objective lens with @andrewgyork.bsky.social to finally solve the problems of eSPIM/OPM (previous posts).

-> The new AMS-AGY or 'Snouty' objective enables a high NA O2 to maximize the signal and resolution of the microscope!
