Also, our cavity is already tunable, it’s got a JJ device inside for sensing purposes. But the same sensitivity makes it susceptible to 1/f noise, which we need to compensate for. Thanks again!

Hi, thanks for letting me know! For some reason I didn’t see this reply till today. Anyway, the paper looks very interesting, I’ll definitely take a closer look

I now call it stuffing. But growing up in rural NC, I’d have called it dressing

Beautiful! I spotted this on the oil painting feed the other Day, thanks for sharing your work.

Right here! Part of my job is lecturing. Took me years to learn to be a faux extrovert long enough to escape back to my office.

Vermont hills in November today! A few more trees than in Mercalf’s day.

Very interesting! Do you have any reference/preprint about your control algorithms? I also work with superconducting cavities, but at the opposite end of the power spectrum (think one photon at a time). And we too contend with a fluctuating resonance frequency.

Got a bottle of Talisker downstairs, but haven’t had Highland Park in years. Maybe it’s time to invest… Slàinte!

Hence the lack of phase space quantization. Thx for the arXiv reference, I’ll check it out

Exactly what I had in mind! Maybe I’ll have one tonight.

And you have a superior intellect, so there.

Sure, if you could follow back that would be great!

Interesting! I was going to guess that it looked like a chaotic attractor of some sort. But I’ve never seen something with this much fine structure in a quantum system before; usually the quantum fuzz blurs everything. Any hints about the physical system we’re looking at? Very curious! 🧐

Cable news brought it on itself and is getting a much-deserved comeuppance.
