Been deferred due to a major earthquake striking the capital Port Vila in December, and will be the first operating under new constitutional amendments designed to strengthen political parties and force single-member parties to unite into larger entities. 3/4

Like the most recent election, this was also called to avoid a no-confidence vote in the incumbent Prime Minister - Vanua'aku Party's Bob Loughman- and saw his deputy take power in a new coalition. We shall see if history repeats itself in an election that has... 2/4
