The AJPS is the official journal of the MPSA, committed to significant advances in knowledge and understanding of citizenship, governance, and politics, and to the public value of political science research. Co-Editors: Adam Berinsky and Dan Reiter.
The AJPS will take a brief hiatus from Dec 12 (5 PM ET) to Jan 6 (12 AM ET). New or revised manuscripts won’t be accepted, and review status of previously submitted manuscripts won’t be visible - but reviews can still be submitted and decisions will continue.

The AJPS will take a hiatus from 8/15 at 5:00 PM - 9/8 at 12:00 AM EST. During this time, we won't accept new/revised manuscripts and you will not be able to see the review status of previously submitted manuscripts. You'll be able to submit reviews and we will make decisions during this break.

AJPS announces a slightly revised policy for manuscript submissions. The page limit on supplemental materials has been increased to 25 pages, and we are also now permitting the submission of pre-registered analysis plans (PAPs). Read more: ajps.org/2025/06/11/u...
