Went to a lovely little model railway show in Forest Hill yesterday, and I'm now spending this morning snuggled up with a cuppa tea and one of the books I got at the show.

So, I've been awake since 3am, I've walked nearly 8 miles today, and now I'm knackered and my feet are killing me. And my leg hurts where I tripped on an escalator and grazed it on the way home.

Yesterday, for one day only, I became...a bus nerd. 🚌

And as a bonus, once the railtour got to Derby Litchurch Lane works, we were afforded a bonus sneak peak around the #TheGreatestGathering site the day before everyone else got let in - as well as a ride on the works test track on an Elizabeth Line train! 👀

I've walked over 30 miles over the last four days. I've spent way more money than I was expecting to.

Update: survived the IKEA trip. Made it home and crashed out for about 3 hours from the heat.

My main worry was about the journey to & from the store by bus being horrendously sweaty. Thankfully, the second bus I'm on has this blissful vent of cooling air right next to my seat.
