Well, the glasses are for aesthetics, but also hiding his identity a little, and hiding his eyes. His eyes Mostly look human, but if you look too close, you might be able to tell they're not. Not that you'd live to tell if you're That close.

He used to need glasses, but they basically became aesthetic more than anything. He also grew tired of washing blood out of his hair, hence why it got shorter over the years. He learned how to be more efficient, cleaner, and how not to kill while getting what he needed, but took a lot of practice.
