its ironic i think for him to say that because he doesn't have potential compared to his father. He knows how to help and take care of his family which is more than he's ever done for them, and boy's still young ofc so he has more than the time. #bsuwlit

It's sad seeing how Boy is clearly trying to take after his father since he looks up to him so much, he has such an idealized version of this man cause he's never actually met him until now and seeing how its impacting him is depressing. #bsuwlit

im really scared about their dad, he has high expectations for his father but theres obviously a lot off with him. Also seeing a lot of troubling symbolism being used with him, like all the signs of demons being related to him such as the horns from the chair, and the demon in the sparkler. #bsuwlit

Seeing how vibrant their mother's grave is compared to the rest of the graves in the graveyard is both very sweet and very sad. It seems she was deeply loved and respected by this family, and Rocky showing those pictures to her was also very cute and sad. #bsuwlit

I already really like this kid; this is a fun start to the movie. This family looks interesting. I think the contrast that's being set up here of this childlike lens boy has to view his life and what's seeming to be the reality is also curious so far. #bsuwlit

I would recommend Zahra's Paradise and the Lieutenant of Inishmore, I don't think I would sell those back if I had purchased the materials in paper instead of online. #bsuwlit

Mendhi's confirmed death is obviously very saddening, especially after seeing the lengths his family went through to locate him. You build hope as you read, due in part to how confident his mother seems in the fact that he has to be out there somewhere, and the reveal becomes crushing. #bsuwlit

It's sad reading things like this novel because despite their dates and being published years before it's still easy to relate these events to current events. This book wasn't released a long time ago, but you would still hope in the time since then things would have changed for the better. #bsuwlit

This play was different from the majority I have seen, but overall I liked it despite some of its shocking moments. It was genuinely humorous in some parts, and honestly, I wonder what it would be like to see live due to some of the more graphic content. #bsuwlit

Crazy opening to start with, someone else already pointed it out but it seems to be a reoccurring thing between McDonaghs work to use animal violence. It works well in catching the reader off guard, but its still a bit jarring to see. #bsuwlit

I think it’s interesting to see the similarity that McDonagh has with this and “Six Shooter.” Specifically the animal violence. And I think it’s also thought provoking that we typically see Irish characters be predominantly violent and portrayed as psychotic.
