Current political landscape reminds me of the Buddha’s words: “when anyone feels no shame in telling a deliberate lie, there is no evil, I tell you, they will not do”.

After the pandemic, I naively thought that the world learned about shared humanity, thus moving closer towards peace & cooperation. Instead, events followed by Russian invasion of Ukraine, Gaza war, now trade war led by Trump, and India/Pakistan conflict, as if there aren’t enough problems already.

When there is a free flow of goods/services around the world, it promotes peace. On the other hand, global trade wars are historically the precursor to hot wars. Trump’s policies are threats to the global peace.

The foundation of what makes America great is its Constitution. If those in power are no longer upholding the Constitution, the most successful experiment of self-government democracy over the last 249 years is near its end.

MAGA and some businesses are chasing efficiency blindly under influence by Elon Musk. What is the point of efficiency if the services or works done also decrease when cutting costs alone? Because efficiency is basically a ratio of services delivered by the costs. Otherwise even a kid can figure out.

Ditching USAID around the world, putting tariffs with largest trading partners, alienating allies, chaos at home, what else is left for Trump admin to take down the waning American soft power? Soft power is what builds the American brand which in return keeps the US dollar as the global currency.

With continuing chaos under Trump admin, it’ll only get worse before it can get better. What Trump needs is good advisers who are wise and can guide him to the right paths. But with too much success in elections MAGA folks won’t listen while collectively everyone has to pay the price for Trump mess.

America needs heroes who will stay vigilant and be guardrails to uphold the Constitution, so that the Republic is still alive for the current and many future generations ahead.
It is essentially the most fundamental responsibility of all Americans, especially true in the current political era.
