Oh I don't have a problem with Burnham - seems a decent man. However, that won't help in Gorton and Denton. He had to be the candidate to do that

Open Council Data lists 9 - I think all defections from Reform. Certainly none elected under those colours

I think Advance ran 2 candidates - actually the same person. In his home ward where he was well know and an ex-Cllr he scored 12%. Down the road where he had no personal vote he managed 2%. (Reform had 46% and 36%)

'Honest' probably isn't the first word I'd use in relation to Rupert. Count your fingers if you ever meet him and shake hands

As you know Sam 'the brand' is crucial on the far right. Splits from the NF, the BNP and now Reform make a lot of noise but can't compete with the main group while it remains a force. If Reform imploded or Farage popped his clogs THEN this bunch might have an opportunity. Not before.

Amazing - chapeau good sir!

Wasn't he Chancellor of Exchequer in the last Con Govt or was he the only one not to get a go at it?
February 14, 2026 at 7:50 PM
Somewhat fixed grins - I bet they didn't look any better after a day listening to what Denton thinks about them!

Stogia campaiging is actively increasing the chance of Reform winning there - sad to say

A wonderful question - I thought it was the NF and then I thought the WRP but as soon as others mentioned the People's Party I thought 'Of course!'

Presumably as a Reform UK supporter he will be deporting himself...

Well - if we aren't fixated on immigrants we might look at the people really responsible for the nation's ills

The rules don't apply to him and people like him. Didn't you know that? (We're yet to actually see for sure that they do - a good few years in max security would be convincing for him and others like him)

That kid is having a bad day but it's about to get worse!!!!
February 6, 2026 at 2:00 PM
Beautifully put - but Lab MPs could end this tomorrow. Con MPs showed them how with Johnson.

A certain individual isn't spending the rest of his life in jail so more work is needed

The snowflake Goodwin seems to be melting already...

Hang on - does that say 33 likes. 33???? Maybe extrajudicial summary executions of US citizens are not as popular as I and Trump thought...

We are near the point where more people have liked this post than were in the sample for the poll -

Very well written and a neat discreetly signposted twist. Reminded me of the Big Bow Mystery but without the humour!

Goodwin is an elitist Southern ex-academic who's entire philosophy is fearing people who look different to himself. Seems a great fit for that seat!

It is more a case that certain social media is basically now doing the equivalent job of Russia Today. There were circumstances when banning Russia Today became appropriate.

There is an audience for that sort of stuff but it is a limited one.
