As much as I personally don't really care for TLH nowadays, imagine using Hillenburg's name to bash on other Nicktoons.

Like, yes, the first three seasons and the first movie are indeed classics, but weaponizing them just to bash on the more recent stuff isn't gonna get you anywhere. I swear, those people probably never bothered to even watch SpongeBob after the third season and the first film, didn't they?

I personally have no problem with modern SpongeBob in and of itself, but like, those people use nostalgia as an excuse to bash on the more recent stuff on the franchise and also uses shit like "Hillenburg didn't want this" on something like the recent seasons or the new movies or the spin-offs.
