It's a good album, representative of the maximalist alternative thing that was happening around then. I find it a bit over-the-top when I listen to it now, but Dave Navarro's guitar tone is always fun. And yeah, the cover is awesome.

Oh lawdy this thing HITS. I've had trouble getting into Tombs in the past, for whatever reason, but this album is full of some mean-ass grooves.

I like LOTTO a lotto--it's like Hum ran into Duster and gave them their guitar setups.

There's enough of that bar italia hipster flair on "Some Like it Hot" that I will definitely be back. "rooster" and "omni shambles" have that distinct "bored at a party" feeling that they are so, so good at.

Interesting, these middle songs have a bit of a gypsy flair, with some odd instrumentation. And then they bring it back to some really solid rockin' indie on "rooster."
