Are you nuts? First off, this will not do what you say it will and will give this administration far-reaching new powers. Second, the priority right now should be a functioning government and this is a huge distraction and waste of political capital.

There are a lot of rumors swirling that faculty searches in CS are being cancelled. Nothing public though.

I know that PhD admissions are proceeding more cautiously than in prior years.

I saw Fritz the Cat at IFC recently, and while it was beautiful and weird and interesting, it also made me feel deeply uncomfortable. Not sure I can get over it, which is a shame.

30s are the best decade (I'm in my 40s now so don't have that much experience).

Your 20s actually sucked. Now you maybe have a little more money, more security, more sense of who you are. You're less likely to waste time and energy on things and people that aren't worth it.
