This may not have been about a gay episode but it is very much a queer theme. Found family is something most of us are familiar with. I have no doubt that these shows primed me to accept that blood is NOT thicker than water and unconventional friend groups can make stronger more lovely families.

Its no surprise that its being attacked by this administration because it educates and encourages us to be the kind of people they want to squish into hopeless compliant nothings. They'll use the smallest loop holes and dirty tricks to get rid of us and sources we use for connection and education

So yeah, other than a few reposts and likes on here- so far its mostly kpop/Thai pop, asian dramas, learning other cultures and history-and eventually I'll add in sewing/design, doctor who/star trek, rocks/gems/trees and other nature things I connect with....oh and cats

Oh, and as far as the abundance of cat pics...well thats just cats isn't it. They just show up and make themselves at home.

No problem I get it. Eventually I want to see and engage with more than political stuff on bsky it just surprised me that it all seemed to have disappeared on its own today. I plan to tinker with the algo eventually so there is a balance.

I have been "liking" more political stuff in threads but I heart even more kpop/drama etc so I can see why the threads algo shifted a little but not as much as it did- I'm just simply baffled by my bsky feed. It almost felt like it was being censored when its meta stuff people are worried about.

When I joined bsky more of the political people I trust were here so I intentionally kept my follows and likes mostly in that realm while using threads as my "happy place". That might evolve if more of my other interests migrate here-but weirdly today it seemed to switch without me doing anything.

I guess I didn't make it clear. For now I use Bsky for the political content to stay informed-I'm happy (for now) with that separation between here and threads. But without changing anything including what I "like" or comment on, today the two switched places for what showed up in my feed.

I'm not a gamer but I like the games I like-I don't care if I suck at them. I like gaymers and non-toxic gamers when they talk about gaming. I like game music. I love to watch my oldest play Zelda-we make it an event-here is food from our last Zelda, Tears of the Kingdom release watch play party:
