I will not allow myself to feel shame for not grieving a man who stole my innocence and blamed a child for his behavior. I say all this because I find myself grieving in ways I never thought I would. I do not know how to process all this inner conflict. I never have. I probably never will. 3/3

I grieve because the grandfather that deserved to know my children never even met them. I grieve because the grandfather that would have been proud of me as an adult never knew me in adulthood. I grieve for myself and the loses I've experienced because of him. I will not grieve the lose of him. 2/
