Yup two lives tragically wasted for nothing

Perhaps! What makes all these discussions weird is the context in which it’s happening - after the tragic murder of a person and the tragedy of the killer who once had a seemingly promising life. It’s a whiplash.
I wonder if this discussion would have happened without such a tragic event

What do you make of this? Not a tit for tat. The whole thing is just too weird

This largely talks about delivery of care and staffing organization. The practicing community needs guidance regarding assessment and minimum required treatment

Excellent. "Videotaped case-series research shows 4 main
patterns of somatization: 1) striated muscle unconscious
anxiety, 2) smooth muscle tension 3) cognitive-
perceptual disruption, and 4) conversion". Provided reference is not the right one. can you guide me to right reference?

As Jane Ballantyne pointed out- we’ve changed diagnostic terms frequently, DSM-5 OUD being the classic case. It’s not something written in stone. There’s nothing stopping us from changing mild OUD diagnostic term in future

At least, we’re talking about it
Most have mild OUD, but the problems such patients present with are not mild. More than a third has disability involving ADLs. That’s not a mild condition.
