“Hope for me is not passive, hope is the fight”

Amazing address by Linde Jacobs at #Tau2025, whose family’s journey with MAPT FTD I first read about in the NYT. Rings similar for me to @ayanaeliza.bsky.social about climate.

Paul Johnson, a PSPA rep and PSP patient, also made an excellent point:

Excited to be sharing some of my data on cell specific vulnerability to tau for the first time (surprise, I’ve also been working on tau, and alpha synuclein) at #Tau2025 in London today!

Come and say hi at poster #45 :)

Thank you to the organisers for the opportunity and conference fellowship!

It’s only taken 5 days but I think I’ve finally managed to navigate to Hall B and Hall C with above chance accuracy at #ADPD2025 😂😂

This whole centre is like a cognitive testing maze, and I’ve been put in the sleep deprivation condition 🥲😅

🗣️ Come along to Hall C this evening at #ADPD2025 for my talk on modelling Lewy pathology in selectively vulnerable iPSC dopaminergic and cortical neurons in AD and PD!

It’s a late one (7:10pm in the stem cell session) but I promise lots of cool images to make it worth it 😁

Catch me this week at #ADPD2025!

📜 Poster: 01-025 on Wednesday and Thursday.

🗣️ Talk: Friday 17:10 in Hall C, in the “Cell Replacement Therapy and Diagnostics” session.

Can promise cool cell pictures (and learning about synucleinopathy in AD, autophagy, and iPSC neurons) at both!

Dicey start to #ADPD2025 with not enough food and lines out the door as 1000s queue for 3 tables.

Nevertheless, great talks to open from Tony Wyss-Coray, Florence Layburn, and Margot Teil, on proteome aging, mixed pathology, and PFFs. Glad other people are considering counterintuitive pathology :)

Double rainbow in Edinburgh this morning! (Before it started hailing on me…)

Going to be a good last day of #SCMND2025!

Very cool talk by @andreaserio.bsky.social about axon modelling and how much size matters at #SCMND. Lots of food for thought on neurite outgrowth and the influence of cell morphology on disease phenotypes.

Come by poster #34 at #SCMND to see some cool pictures of Lewy Pathology in cortical and dopaminergic neurons! 😁🧫

(And learn about how Lewy bodies form, what effect they have on cells, and what cell characterisrics make them vulnerable and resilient in AD and PD 🙂)

Final leg of the journey to #SCMND! 39 hrs and counting of transit (do I get a prize for furthest travelled? 😅) but excited for the next three days of stem cell modelling talks 😁

Excited to be giving a talk about the basics of using AI as a Daily Research Tool for the @istaart.bsky.social Alzheimer's Association Technology and Dementia PIA later today 😊

You can still register here, and it will be available on demand subsequently: lnkd.in/gREC9rs5
