Think about how many creators have had TV shows they made, and would LOVE to make more of, cancelled on them by streaming services, where they *do not have the right* to make more of them. They do not own what they created, *because* of copyright

Sure, but can you define that processing and reproduction in a way where it would be completely clear its different from what AI is doing and that it doesn't count as theft?

Neither can art, everything you perceive contributes to your output, just like AI you're mostly recognizing and reproducing patterns, you're just a lot better at it than AI because unlike it you're conscious and have more and better data to work with.
