i think they care a lot less about him doing smash than the community does.

nintendo has shown openness to moving on without him since brawl but HE doesn’t wanna move on lol

i am down for smash to be handed to someone else but definitely not for any lack of opportunities for creativity.

i think smash is actually being hindered by it being so heavily influenced by one person’s interpretation of that formula.
