I think you’re right. In fact, it might have been a couple of ECs in quick succession that made us notice the coincidence.

I thought a lexiphile such as yourself would appreciate the work that went into those lyrics.
And yeah, sorry, it should have come with an ear worm warning.

That was fabulous. The song is a personal favourite, but MP does it proud.
Like Al, she’s someone I’ve heard various songs by over the years, always enjoyed but never properly investigated.

It’s probably not something you’d want to listen to often, but I like it.
Although whatever part of my brain that controls ear worms seems to think otherwise!

That goes in the ever-growing pile of records I wouldn't have given ear-time to back ye olde days.
Now I find myself listening to their debut album....and actually quite enjoying it.

Bloody hell. I was listening to this a couple of days ago, even laughed at the line, but did it occur to me to put it in the challenge?! 🤦
Good spot, great song.

It wasn’t on the first list I made, and then, as I saw so many of them being posted I realised I needed to dig a bit deeper, so no, not on my list.
I do love the track, though. Excellent pick.

Hurrah.
I know it has painful memories for you, so I’m really pleased if new, happier associations can be made to it. It is such an uplifting, joyful sound.

I didn’t know that. Interestingly, my daughter’s ongoing sporadic cough has been referred to as both by my wife and daughter, as if they were different things.
Thanks for illuminating me. 🙂

Quite possibly. I think I’m posting too late for European evenings and too late for Japanese pre-work.
My fault really.

I hope it’s the one my daughter has had for WEEKS now. The dr called it ‘100 day cough’. He wasn’t kidding.
Although I’m beginning to think he was underestimating it….
