Picked up a paintbrush and some watercolors in the weeks after losing almost everything to a house fire (June 2024). Sharing some of my journey and looking forward to finding some community here - especially now.
Trying to take good care of the parts of the world that are within my reach. Sometimes that’s making a call, sometimes it’s connecting with neighbors, other times, it’s making art.

Finding some semblance of peace through quiet moments with my paints and ink. When you can’t see the forest for the trees, find and follow the light you can see - one step at a time. 🌲🌲🚶🏽‍➡️🌕

Making the most of what is left after a devastating house fire is also helping me cope with all the things this month. I used things around this temp home (dryer lint, string I found) to make a card for a friend. What helped me may lead to something that makes them smile = a win-win 😌

I will continue to create #art while I cultivate connection, consider my role, and remain informed. How are y’all coping?

Meeting up with others IRL in my community to cultivate a support system and network going forward was just what I needed. I highly recommend this. 💙

Playing around with different styles and moods in my #art. Sometimes I’m sweet. Sometimes I’m snarky. But I try to never suck as a human. ✌🏼 Should this card be made available on Etsy? I am currently building my shop there.

Hello, BlueSky friends. Woke up with more determination today. 💪🏼

Not gonna settle for what they’re offering.

Especially now. ✌🏼

Hello. 👋🏼 I’m new here. Looking to build community with those who love art, human-kind, and human rights. I’ve picked up watercolor painting as a healing medium to process grief and trauma in my own life. ❤️‍🩹 (It’s helping! 🥹)
