tbh my approach before cold steel was just blast my way through with cheat engine to see the story but skip the combat and run around at like 20x speed 😅 those games are filled with lots of aggravation. they're amazing, but have to be loved in spite of their best efforts towards being unenjoyable

also this episode completely recontextualized soo much of the show and how she conducts herself, the weird ego vibe she always gave off despite just seeming like random middle management, etc.

there's so much to chew on both in the episode and how it colors the wider canvas

Estelle is legitimately one of the best game characters ever. I never played past Cold Steel 1, so idk how she is in the newer games, but when I played her trilogy when I was younger it meant a ton to me to have a girl protag i could play who was as great as her and was allowed to be the star
