The people have the power
They are terrified sadly. This is not a free country anymore. It's insane that Charlie Kirk had this massive platform to spread hate and propaganda under the banner of right to free speech, while all of the suppression and censorship is coming from the side welding all of the power. Crazy making.

A million times, yes.

Dowd essentially stated that Kirk was playing with fire by taking things in such a dark direction. That's different from saying he deserved it. Assuming this wasn't a government hit, Kirk had that freedom of speech he so valued. He exercised it exactly how he wanted to, and he died on that hill.

Was it really dark to acknowledge the man pushed hate speech? He did. If someone publicly advocates harm on others and pushes white supremacy on a massive, well-funded platform of indoctrination, that person will make some enemies. 1/2

Exactly. The cowardly actions of the network are despicable here. They insist their contributors dance around issues. Tur specifically asked him to talk about the atmosphere surrounding this, and he's expected to omit the most glaringly obvious facts. It is suppression.

Is it true no one cares? Or does it just seem that way? Or is it that no one who could make a difference cares? I, for one, am outraged.

YES!! And sadly, being able to say "I told you so" offers no comfort in this moment.

What a joke. She's an absolute sociopath, very coarse, and far from beautiful.

so then DO something, anything (throwing away your vote doesn't count btw). "Like it or leave it" shouldn't be the answer here. Ideally, people should be more informed and know where their own values lie. Besides, I'm becoming less and less convinced he was elected. www.msn.com/en-in/news/w...

Oh come on. The frustration within the party is totally justified, and there's nothing wrong with giving voice to it or seeking change. The bigger problem is that people DON'T get involved enough. They stay on the sidelines and complain about status quo. People feel powerless, understandably, BUT

The U.S. has been stuck in this dysfunctional two party system for so long. Will we ever see change?

A horrible person

but I don't know Kamala that well..." There's some who used to vote dem & jumped ship - it's not because the dems became more radical. It's that some of them got indoctrinated by the populist movement after the dems didn't help them. Dems must know it too but the machine doesn't seem to care.

I dont buy it after watching the last 10 years play out. Repubs have known awhile they could keep pushing more extreme and only lose a small portion of their voters. Look at those "independents" who weren't sure how they were going to vote this election "because gosh, I don't really like Trump (1/2)

You can take the most moderate, centrist dem and the right will call them the second coming of Mao Tse Tung, just like they would with a more progressive candidate. For those susceptible to that message, it doesn't matter who the candidate is. So why alienate the democratic base?

Such a shill organization.
