The comparison page claims similar life to 16 Pro (not-max). I think it'll be fine?
The battery pack compatibility thing I suspect is just because of the bigger camera bump on other models? There'll surely be 3rd party battery packs with wider compat.

The lighter weight is quite tempting but I don't think I can live without telephoto

Spotify Connect device control and collab playlists (though I think Apple has some version of this now?) are what have mainly kept me on Spotify. They also have good integrations showing when artists are playing nearby and stuff.

On my most recent trip, I booked a hotel for that night after midnight, while on the train to the place hah (often you have to call if you're booking _that_ late but it's doable)

Realistically unless super busy place you can always find same day hotel, car, etc. Sometimes tickets to popular museums/attractions can be hard but there's tricks for that too
