Started a new series last week (Death Before Dragons), I enjoyed the first 2 books but I am struggling to engage in the third. I don’t care about the teen and her relationship with the heroine. I’m just not a fan of the absent parent trope. Can we just get back to killing dragons?

I recently discovered The Consortium Rebellion through an “if you like this series then you’ll love this series ” post. I have devoured it. There is political intrigue, espionage, romance, plus space ships and lasers. Can’t wait to read another Jessie Mihalik series. #booksky

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it.
Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice.
But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word.

Just finished a re-listen to Dragon Heist by Alexander C. Kane. It was exactly what I needed. Kane‘s writing is very sarcastic, pretty left leaning, and I would say GenX coded. There is a light mystery, a squad of misfits, plus dragons. Kane has a become an auto-buy author for me. #booksky
