And my #FamilyHistory connection to the 1952 marriages that just became available. The marriage of my godmother, my 1C1R, Mary Elizabeth "Mae" Heathwood and John Patrick "Jack" O'Hare:

Birth of my paternal grandmother, Marguerite Frances Hughes, daughter of Joseph Patrick Hughes and Catherine Veronica Holleran, in Boston. Baptized at St Cecilia's.
No known baby photos. The earliest I have is from about 1920, with my grandfather.

My grandparents didn't get a case, but I love the list, in my grandfather's hand, of the gifts Early Roy Burgess and Emma Odell Lowe received in 1914. I have the notebook where he kept this list and many other details. A partial snip:

Thanks, Carolyn.

I did delete one of her notes with the comment that it was snarky. It was. I was reprimanded by support.

You know you are a #Genealogy geek when you get excited by records for others. A contributor to a group where I help asked how to find a baptism record. I retrieved it yesterday. Not only found the baptism he wanted, but those of 2 other family members! And a marriage margin note!

Thanks, Claire. If she is related, it is distant. And she certainly isn't related on all the branches where she is spreading her light and joy.
This is one of her comments. She hadn't even looked because the sources she demanded are there. And then she detached the sources.

I've had some of that - needing to repair things many times - but this is different. All the sources she demanded in these comments were already attached. And then she detached them.

I've found Philadelphia newspapers particularly good because it's such an Irish city. Many obituaries/death notices contain the Irish parish or townland which is SO helpful.

Although this one made me laugh. "Caruch More, Ireland"
