I think the name could convey that this is a fantasy and not about real-world colonization, which I guessed but was not sure of until I read the hashtag bc the character’s name could go either way

This sounds hilarious! Minor nitpick but I think there’s probably a funnier phrase than “the cult women” since you’ve already said “it’s a cult”, maybe something ironic? Otherwise I love this!

I think I would restructure this to establish the conflict/stakes for the characters (ie “An anonymous photographer and a homeschooler _____”) instead of “this is a story about ____”, which I think takes up a lot of words. This sounds really intriguing though! Good luck!

Great comps! I think the placement of the “discovering” clause is a little awkward—it feels like all these things happen simultaneously which doesn’t seem right (they’ve been kidnapped *and* they need to go on a quest?) Good luck!

This is really clever! I think some of the nouns feel like abstract concepts (the rebellion is against “colonization”, “his government”). If you have, like, an empire with a fantasy name I think I’d put that here to establish the setting. But this definitely hooked me, good luck!
